Project notes
Write down decisions about an edit, like how long it runs, and the Agent follows them in every conversation about it.
Notes are decisions about one edit or design that everyone working on it shares, such as “keep it under 30 seconds”, “no drone shots” or “the logo goes last”. The Agent follows them in every conversation about it, yours or a teammate’s.
Open the notes
In the editor, choose Notes on the left, after Timelines. In Studio, it’s after Layers. On a phone, it’s in the row of tools along the bottom. You need to be signed in; the demo edit and design have no notes.
Add, change or delete a note
- Choose Add note at the foot of the panel.
- Write it in a sentence and choose Add note.
Point at a note to see Change note and Delete note. Deleting asks first, and the Agent stops following it. Editors can add, change and delete notes. If you can only comment, you can read them.
An edit keeps up to 30 notes, each up to 300 characters. At the limit, delete one first.
Let the Agent write them
Tell the Agent a decision in your own words, such as “this one should stay under 30 seconds”. It saves it, and under its reply you see Noted for the project with Undo. Choose Undo to take it off; the line then says Off the project’s notes.
It only saves what you said in the conversation about this edit, never something from a file or the screen. If it asks whether to note something, that’s why. To change a note, ask it to, or edit it in the panel. A preference about how you work everywhere belongs in your memories instead. See The Agent.
A real person in Melbourne will write back, usually within one business day.
