Remake an ad you like
Paste a link to an ad, keep what works in it, and make your own for your product.
Remake an ad starts from an ad or video you like. Paste its link, choose what stays the same and what changes, and Shotz makes your own for your product, either as static ads or as a UGC video. Open Tools → Remake an ad.

1. Its link
Paste a link to an ad in Meta’s Ad Library (the page has ?id= in its address), a TikTok video (a short link works too) or a YouTube video. Then choose Read it. If Shotz can’t read the link, or the ad is private, it says so.
The ad is kept in Inspiration under Saved, so you can make more like it later.
2. What should change
Everything is kept until you switch it off. Each row says what Shotz saw in the ad, once it has read it:
- Format: the layout of a static ad, or how a video runs.
- Hook: the kind of headline or opening line.
- Angle: the reason to buy it gives.
- Look: its colours, light and framing.
Anything you switch off is made new, clearly unlike the original. Under Anything else to change?, say what else you want in your own words, up to 500 characters. Choose Next: static or video.

3. Static ads or a video
Pick Static ads or UGC video. Shotz suggests the closest match: a Meta ad with no video is a static ad, and anything with video is a UGC video. Then choose Open the Ad creator or Open UGC ads.
The tool opens with the ad already picked and your choices in place. Pick your product, say what you’re selling, and go on as usual. See Make static ads with the Ad creator and Make a UGC ad. Remake an ad itself is free; you pay for what the next tool makes.
If you keep a static ad’s Format and leave the Ad creator’s template on Mix them, every ad you write uses the one template closest to it. Its Look shapes the pictures only when you keep it.
What it never copies
What you keep is how the ad works. Its words, brand, people and product are never used. Your product, brand and words always replace theirs.
Remake an ad is for owners and editors.
A real person in Melbourne will write back, usually within one business day.
