Workspaces

Switch between workspaces, make a new one, rename it, give it a logo, leave it or delete it.

A workspace is where your work lives: its edits, Library, elements, credits and plan. You can be in several, say your own and a client’s, and each keeps its own.

Switch workspace

On a desktop, choose the workspace at the top of the sidebar and pick another. On a phone, tap your picture at the top left, then Switch beside the workspace’s name. You stay on the page you were on, now showing the workspace you picked. If that page was one edit, board, doc, element, template or folder from the old workspace, you go to its list instead, such as Studio, Boards or Docs.

Make a new workspace

Choose Create a workspace from the same menu (on a phone, under Switch) and give it a name. You’re its owner, it starts on Free, and the app opens in it. You can own up to 20 workspaces; delete one you don’t use to make another.

Rename it

Owners can change the name and the two-letter initials in Settings → General, which Workspace settings in the workspace menu opens. The same page sets what new edits start as and, under Privacy, whether people can share to the community and whether X-Ray recognises faces and whether the Agent can remember what people tell it (see The Agent).

Owners can also see a record of changes to people, sharing, spending and settings. See The audit log.

Which models people can use is on its own page, Settings → Generative models. See Choose a model, or leave it on Auto.

Owners can put a logo where the initials show, in the workspace switcher and in Settings. Open Settings → General, then choose Add logo (or Change once there is one) and pick a picture. A square picture works best. Choose Remove to go back to the initials.

If a picture can’t be read, try a PNG or JPEG.

Leave a workspace

In the workspace, open Settings → General and choose Leave next to Leave this workspace, under Leave or delete. You’ll need a new invite to come back. It only shows when you’re in more than one workspace, and the only owner can’t leave: make someone else an owner first, or delete it. Files you kept private there are deleted when you leave.

Delete a workspace

Only an owner can: open Settings → General and choose Delete next to Delete this workspace. Type the workspace’s name to confirm. Every edit, file, element and template in it goes, for everyone, and it can’t be undone.

If the workspace has a paid plan, cancel the plan first. See Change or cancel your plan.
