The Create page and its settings

Create is where you write a prompt, choose how it’s made and see the takes come in. Open Create in the sidebar. Home has a shorter version of the same form docked at the bottom of the page.

The settings

• Video or Image at the top switches what you’re making. What you’ve typed stays.
• Prompt is what you want to see. Type @ to tag an element. Press Enter to generate, or Shift and Enter for a new line. Improve prompt rewrites it with more detail; see Write a good prompt.
• Elements tags a character, product or place with one tap. See Keep a character the same across shots.
• Frames (video only, optional) sets the picture a take starts on, and one it ends on. See Start and end frames.
• Model is Auto unless you pick one. See Choose a model.
• Shape: 16:9, 9:16, 1:1 or 4:5.
• Length (video only): the choices depend on the model.
• Takes (or Images): 1, 2 or 4. Each one is charged.
• Skill adds a camera move, effect or transition to your prompt. See Use a skill.
• Sound (video only) asks the model to make sound with the picture.
• Offer to share asks you once the takes are in whether to post them to the community. Nothing is shared until you say so.
• Quality: 720p or 1080p for video, 1K or 2K for images.
• Add the takes to puts the takes in a project as well as your Library. It shows once you have a project.

The button at the bottom says how many takes you’ll get and what they cost, and your balance shows under it. If the run costs more than you have left, Shotz offers a top-up or a bigger plan and keeps your prompt.

On Home

The docked form shows the prompt with a row of chips under it. + adds elements and frames, then the kind, the model, shape and length, and the number of takes. More holds the skill, quality, sound, Offer to share, where the takes go and Improve prompt.

On a phone

Tap + in the tab bar to open the generate drawer from any page. Every setting is a chip under the prompt; tap one to change it. Generate is pinned at the bottom. Once a run starts, the drawer closes and Create shows the takes coming in.

Where takes go

Takes appear on Create as they’re made, newest prompt first, and land in your Library. On a computer, click takes to select them, then Download, Upscale or Add to an edit. Reuse prompt puts a prompt back in the form, and Try another model opens it ready to run on something else. See Takes, re-rolls and fixes.
