Chat with the Agent as a team

Workspace chats are conversations with the Agent that everyone in the workspace reads and writes.

Your conversations with the Agent are your own unless you put them in front of the team. A workspace chat is one that everyone in the workspace can read and add to: talk to each other, and ask the Agent, in one place.

Private and Workspace

Create lists your conversations under two tabs, and so does the threads list in the Agent's card and in the editor:

  • Private: your own. Only you see them, and the Agent uses what it remembers about you (see The Agent).
  • Workspace: the workspace's shared chats. Everyone in the workspace sees them. The tab shows how many have something new since you last opened them, and each one with something new has a dot.

Search for a chat with the magnifying glass at the end of the tabs.

Start one

On the Workspace tab, choose New chat, or Start a workspace chat when there are none yet. Your first message starts it, and everyone in the workspace can open it from then on.

To share a chat you started on your own, open its ⋯ menu on the Private tab and choose Move to the workspace. This can't be undone. Anything it made that only you could see moves to the workspace's Library with it.

Talking with the team and the Agent

Everyone's messages show their name and picture. When someone else is in the chat, their face is at the top, and you see when they're typing.

To talk to the Agent, mention it: start with @agent (or "Agent,") and it answers. Without that, it stays out of what people say to each other and answers only what's plainly for it:

  • Mention a teammate (@Ama, or "Ama,") and it stays out.
  • Ask for something to be made or changed ("make two takes of the close"), or follow up on what it just did ("make it warmer"), and it answers.
  • Anything else, such as a reply to a teammate ("love it") or a decision, it leaves to you. If it stayed out of something you meant for it, send it again with @agent.

To answer a particular message, hover over it and choose Reply (on a touch screen the button is always there). A line above the card says who you're replying to, with Stop replying to take it off. Your message then shows a line from the one you replied to, and the Agent reads it too. When the Agent answers someone, its reply says Answering and their name.

Who pays, and who runs things

What the Agent makes in a workspace chat is charged to the person who asked for it, within their own monthly limit if they have one. Its shots and plans start only from that person's screen, and only they can approve a plan or stop a run. Everyone else sees the card and can ask for one of their own.

The Agent doesn't use anyone's memories in a workspace chat, and doesn't search anyone's private conversations from it.

Rename, pin and delete

Anyone can pin a workspace chat for themselves. Only the person who started it can rename or delete it, and deleting it removes it for everyone. What it made stays in the Library.
