Like, save and follow

Keep posts you like, follow people, and see less of what you don’t want.

You need to be signed in to like, save, follow or report. Each shows at once; if it doesn’t go through, it’s undone and Shotz says so.

If you choose a like, save or follow while signed out, Shotz takes you to sign in and does it when you’re back, as long as that’s within an hour.

Like

Choose the heart on a post (on a computer, in the bar under it), or double-tap the video on a phone. The author gets a notification, at most one an hour for each post however many likes come in.

Save

Choose the bookmark (Save) on a post, or Save from its menu on a phone. Your saved posts are on your profile under Saved, and only you can see them. See Your community profile.

Follow

Choose Follow beside someone’s name on their post or on their profile, or the small + on their picture in the phone feed. Their posts then come up more often in Community, and on a desktop People you follow shows only theirs. Choose Following to stop. They get a notification when you follow them.

Not interested

From a post’s ⋯ menu (press and hold on a phone), choose Not interested. The post goes from your feeds and doesn’t come back. Undo in the message brings it back. Signed out, the menu doesn’t offer it.

Report

If a post breaks the rules, choose Report from the same menu (signed out, it takes you to sign in first), pick what’s wrong and, if you like, add a note. It leaves your feed straight away, and an AI looks at it again with what you said. You can report up to 50 posts a day. See How posts are checked.

On a computer, Copy link is the link button in the bar under an open post, beside the bookmark. Elsewhere it’s in the ⋯ menu. Either copies the post’s address. The link button shows a tick for a moment to say it worked. On a phone, Share opens your phone’s share sheet.
