Block someone in the community

Stop seeing someone’s posts and comments, stop them following you or commenting on your posts, and unblock them later.

You can block anyone in the community. They aren’t told.

Block someone

  • From a post: choose ⋯ (or press and hold on a phone) and Block.
  • From a comment: choose ⋯ beside it and Block.
  • From their page: choose ⋯ beside Follow on a desktop, or ⋯ by their name on a phone, then Block.

Shotz asks before it blocks them. Their posts and comments go from the page straight away.

What blocking does

  • Neither of you sees the other’s posts, comments or shared elements in For you, Following, New, search or Creators to follow.
  • If either of you followed the other, that follow ends, and neither of you can follow the other again.
  • They can’t comment on your posts or reply to your comments.
  • Their likes, comments, replies, follows and remixes no longer send you notifications.
  • Open their page from a link and it says you blocked them, with Unblock.

Blocking doesn’t report anyone. If a post or comment breaks the rules, report it too: choose ⋯ and Report.

Unblock someone

Go to Settings → Blocked people and choose Unblock beside them, or choose Unblock on their page. Their posts come back in your feeds. Follows that ended when you blocked them don’t come back.
