Buy a plan or credits in the iPhone and Android app
In the app, plans and credits are bought through the App Store or Google Play, and changed or cancelled there.
In the Shotz app for iPhone, iPad and Android, plans and credits are bought through the App Store or Google Play, with the Apple or Google account on the device. They work exactly like ones bought on the web: the same plans, the same credits, shared by the whole workspace, and credits still last 90 days. Only an owner of the workspace can buy them.
Buying
Change plan, Buy credits and the window that opens when something needs more credits all work in the app. Pick a plan or an amount and the store's own window opens to confirm the payment. Once it's paid, the plan or credits are in the workspace straight away, and anything that was waiting for them starts. If the store is slow to confirm, Shotz says Paid. Your credits will show up in a minute or two.
The app offers fewer amounts than the web. Each plan comes in its most common amounts of credits a month, monthly or yearly. Pro 10,000 credits and Team are monthly only in the app, because Google Play sells no subscription over $999.99 a year; pay for them yearly on the web. Credits come in packs of 500, 1,000, 2,500, 5,000 and 10,000. Prices in the app are a little higher than on the web, because the stores keep a share of each sale. The store shows the price in your own currency, with any tax, before you confirm.
Changing or cancelling
A plan bought in the app is changed in the app, and cancelled in the store:
- On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings → Plan and billing and choose Manage next to Subscription, or go to your Apple account's Subscriptions in the Settings app.
- On Android, choose Manage in the same place, or open Google Play's Payments and subscriptions.
A cancelled plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, then the workspace moves to Free. Plan credits end with the plan; top-up credits stay until they expire. Moving to a bigger plan starts straight away and adds the new plan's credits for a full month. A smaller plan starts when the current period ends.
A plan bought on the web is changed on the web, and one bought in the App Store isn't changed from Google Play. In the app, Change plan says where your plan is changed and offers Buy credits instead: you can still buy credits whichever way the plan was bought. On an iPhone or iPad with a US App Store account, it also has Change plan on shotz.co, which opens the web page where you change it.
Automatic top-ups aren't available for plans bought in the app. Turn on the reminder in Settings → Plan and billing instead, and buy credits when you need them.
Restore purchases
If you bought in the app and don't see it, for example after reinstalling, choose Restore next to Restore purchases in Settings → Plan and billing. Purchases are kept with the workspace you were in when you bought them. Each purchase adds its credits once, to the first workspace it was seen in, so restoring it in another workspace doesn't add them again.
Refunds
Refunds for purchases in the app are handled by Apple or Google. When one is refunded, the credits it bought are taken back, as far as they haven't been used, and a refunded plan moves the workspace to Free.
