Sachiko's encore

Sachiko, a Japanese woman in her mid 60s who is a punk grandmother: tall white liberty-spike mohawk, laugh lines, small silver nose ring, reading glasses on a beaded chain, a black studded leather biker jacket covered in patches worn over a cream knitted cardigan with pearl buttons, plaid skirt, Dr. Martens boots. Standing still with her arms crossed on a punk club stage, the crowd a blur of light behind her; flames run up her leather jacket and she doesn't move.
