Odette's ascent

Odette, a fat, plus-size Black woman in her 50s, full-figured with a large soft body, round face and double chin, who is a cabaret singer: deep brown skin, a sculpted silver finger-wave bob, bold red lipstick, statement emerald earrings, wearing a floor-length emerald green satin gown with an enormous flowing train. Standing on stage in a single spotlight, lifting gently off the floor as she sings, her emerald train hanging beneath her like a waterfall.
