Kofi's thread

Kofi, a Ghanaian man in his late 30s who is a tailor: very dark skin, tall and lean, a sculpted high-top fade with a gold afro comb tucked in it, neat short beard, gold-rimmed round glasses, wearing a sharply cut double-breasted suit in a loud orange, green and gold kente-inspired woven print with a matching pocket square. In his tailor's shop he lifts a spool of gold thread up to the lens, turning it so the label reads, as the thread unwinds itself and stitches a bow tie in the air beside him.
