Inge's new gloves

Inge, a Norwegian woman in her 40s with albinism who is a fisherwoman: very pale skin, white-blonde eyebrows and lashes, white hair in a thick braid, pale blue eyes, weathered wind-burnt cheeks, strong hands, wearing a bright yellow oilskin fishing jacket and bib trousers, a chunky cream wool jumper underneath. On her boat in sleet she pulls on a pair of heated gloves, the frost melting off her hands, and her eyebrows go up in disbelief.
