Mosswick waits

Mosswick, Mosswick, a small gentle forest creature about 70cm tall, its round body made entirely of real green moss and grey lichen, a wide brown mushroom cap for a head, two shiny black bead eyes and a tiny serious mouth, little twig arms and stubby root feet, rendered as a photoreal practical creature. Waiting alone at a city bus stop in heavy rain at night, holding a large green leaf over its mushroom cap as an umbrella, looking straight at camera with a serious face, a businessman sitting beside it reading a newspaper, wet street reflections. A city bus roars past and drenches the bus stop with a wave of puddle water, Mosswick's leaf umbrella is torn away, the businessman leaps up spluttering while Mosswick, soaked and unbothered, slowly turns to the lens; the camera whip pans from the bus to Mosswick and crash zooms into its face.
