Priya, a Tamil drag king in their 30s: brown skin, short slicked-back black hair, a thin painted-on moustache with a curled tip, heavy dramatic brows, a gold stud earring, wearing an embroidered silver brocade sherwani with a high collar, gold-tinted sunglasses on a chain around the neck. On a cabaret stage mid knee-slide towards camera, arms thrown wide, thousands of gold and violet confetti pieces frozen in mid-air around them, a spotlight from above, red velvet curtains. Priya sprints across the stage and drops into a long knee-slide straight at the lens, confetti cannons blast gold and violet, the camera rushes in low to meet them and whips around in a fast orbit as they throw their arms wide, spotlights swing, the crowd roars.
